William D. McElrath

William D. “Bill” McElrath, 62, of Orbisonia, PA, died Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon, Huntingdon, PA.

Born on February 16, 1962 in Sharon, PA, he was the son of William McElrath, who survives of Orbisonia, PA and the late Beverly (Doyle) McElrath.  He was united in marriage to Karin Kauffman on August 23, 2012.  Mrs. McElrath survives at home.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by son Landon McElrath, Three Springs, PA, step-son Nick Bailey and wife Britt, Myerstown, PA, step-daughter Kim Fong and husband Xander, State College, three grandchildren and sister Annette LaBarre and husband Scott, Bethlehem, PA.

He was also preceded in death by brother Richard Miller.

Mr. McElrath was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

During his lifetime, he enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Wrestling.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA.  Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 - 8:00 PM Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
