Wendy P. (Winnick) McCartney

Wendy P. (Winnick) McCartney, 51, of Mountain Road, Mill Creek, PA, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA.

Born on September 4, 1969 in Huntingdon, PA she was the daughter of the late Patty K. (Drake) Henry and step-father Walter Henry and is survived by Thomas Winnick, Sr. and step-mother Sharon Winnick, Huntingdon, PA.  She was united in marriage to Daniel B. McCartney, Jr. on July 17, 2004.  Mr. McCartney survives at home.

She is survived by children Roxanne Price and husband Jordan, Huntingdon, PA, Ryan Shuey and wife Frachesca, Sacramento, CA, Rachelle Kinert and husband Zachary, Sr., Lancaster, PA and grandchildren Guy, Margaret, Boyd, Zachary, Jr. and Sophia.

Paternal grandmother Hazel Winnick, Huntingdon, PA, brother Thomas Winnick, Jr and wife Bernice, Neelyton, PA, nephew Thomas Winnick III and wife Candie and niece Kaylee Winnick and boyfriend Timmy McCall, Huntingdon, PA also survive.

During her lifetime, Mrs. McCartney was an Assistant Production Manager at Thompson’s Candle Company, Huntingdon, PA.

Mrs. McCartney was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School and the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center, class of 1988.

She enjoyed crafting, reading, traveling, telling stories, making people laugh and most importantly spending time with her family and loved ones, especially her grandkids and dog Lily Rose.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 1, 2021 at I. O. O. F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA with Rev. David Ford officiating.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will also plan a celebration of life service to be held at a later date.
