Warner W. Grissinger, 89, of Hares Valley Road, Mapleton Depot, PA, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon.
Born October 22, 1933 at Saltillo, PA, he was a son of the late Webster and Catherine (Thomas) Grissinger. He was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Wilson on November 27, 1952. His loving and devoted wife survives at their home.
He is also survived by four sons, Rick Grissinger and wife Sharon of Three Springs, PA, Randy Grissinger and wife Jackie of Mapleton Depot, Ronald Grissinger and wife Betty of Mapleton Depot and Robert Grissinger and wife Sherie of Mt. Union, PA, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two siblings, Janet Walter and husband Bob of Mapleton Depot and Dale Grissinger and wife Dolly of Huntingdon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Evan Grissinger and a daughter in law, Deborah Grissinger.
Mr. Grissinger attended the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA.
After attending Saltillo High School, he was employed in the coal mines and brickyards and then in construction for over 30 years with Hickes Associates, Alexandria, PA.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, woodworking and taking care of his home and yard for over 70 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Jeffrey Knepper officiating. Interment will be made at Saltillo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
