Tonya L. (Leidy) Park

Tonya Lee (Leidy) Park went home to be with our Lord and to celebrate her mother's birthday in Heaven on December 4, 2024. She passed away at the age of 62 in the comfort of her home in Orbisonia, Pa, surrounded by those closest to her after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Huntingdon, Pa on July 27, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Marion R. Leidy Sr. and Velta "Kate" (Hoffman) Leidy. She attended Southern Huntingdon County High School and went on to work in ways to always help others. Throughout the years she worked as a CNA at Apron Tree and Woodland, she worked as a caregiver, owned and operated a daycare, and was a cook/advocate for adolescents at Children's Aid Society of Franklin County. Tonya knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity and her heart knew no bounds. 

Tonya was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, reminiscing, sitting on the porch with her husband, and most importantly spending time with family and her beloved dog, Mattie. Although Tonya is gone from our sight, she will live in our hearts forever until we meet again.

She is survived by husband Robert L. Park of Orbisonia, Pa, her son Andrew "Andy" K. Krause Jr. and fiancé Brittany Nearhood of Orbisonia, Pa, her daughter Kathryn "Katie" R. Weirich (Krause) and husband Brandyn of Three Springs, Pa, brother Kenneth Leidy of Shirleysburg, Pa, brother David Leidy, Sr. of Orbisonia, Pa, brother William Leidy of Shirleysburg, Pa, brother Allen Leidy, Sr. of Orbisonia, Pa, sister Tammie McClure of Cassville, Pa, sister-in-law Cynthia Brocato and husband Michael of Crofton, Md, special niece Tammy Vaughn of Shade Gap, Pa, several nieces and nephews, several grandchildren, especially close to granddaughter Abigail Prough of Mount Union, Pa and grandsons Kaiden Krause and River Krause, both of Orbisonia, Pa, three step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Park was preceded in death by son Matthew D. Krause and brother Marion “Mike” Leidy, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, Pa with hospice chaplain Bradley Zembower officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday.  Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, Pa.  A celebration of life will follow at the Orbisonia Lions Club Building, 618 Water St., Orbisonia, Pa.
