Sidney A. Stambaugh recently passed away peacefully at his home; he was 65 years old. Mr. Stambaugh fulfilled many roles in his lifetime. First and foremost, he was a loving and devoted father to his daughter. He raised her by himself and took great pride in doing so. Sid also worked in banking for over 25 years; his favorites were the years spent with the gang at The First National Bank of McConnellsburg. After retiring from banking, he pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. He was an inspiration to his classmates and served as the graduation speaker for his class. He went on to work as a Certified Medical Assistant in medical offices, hospitals, and home healthcare settings.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Kelly and her husband, Mike Tucker, who reside in Three Springs. Sid also left behind many animals whom he loved and spoiled. Planting, gardening, baking, and cooking were his favorite hobbies. He would have liked to have spent much time talking to you about any of those topics!
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services. Sid’s suffering has ended. Please celebrate and honor this by recalling a fond memory that you have with him as your friend, neighbor, coworker, egg supplier, patient, caretaker, banker, or even just as that very friendly, chatty stranger. If you feel compelled to make a monetary donation in his memory, please consider the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
