Shirley Dawn Pollock, 84, of RD, Shirleysburg, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019 at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, PA.
She was born on July 24, 1935, the daughter of the late Harry S. and Ethel H. (Drake) Leonard. She was united in marriage to Russel James “Banker” Pollock on February 5, 1958. Mr. Pollock preceded in death on September 30, 2018.
She is survived by four children, Myra Mowrer and husband Dave of Winchester, VA, Tami Coulter and husband Jere of Fort Collins, CO, Carol Fultz and husband Terry of Huntingdon, PA, and Jamie Price and companion Heidi of Lansdale, PA, twelve grandchildren, Philip Myers and wife Kristy, Charles Mowrer and wife Beth, Troy Mowrer, Emilee Mowrer, Alissa Mowrer, Duston Denney, Courtney Denney, Luke Fultz, Ashlee Fultz, Logan Fultz, Tyler Price, and Trevor Price, and five great-grandchildren, Macy, Kenzy, Cally, Zane, and Cecilia.
She is also survived by four siblings, Betty Konsella of Elkhart, IN, Fred Leonard of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Marie Bay of Lewistown, PA and Linda Morgan of Rockhill Furnace, PA.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jill Myers.
She was a 1953 graduate of Orbisonia High School, Orbisonia.
Mrs. Pollock was a building aide for the Mount Union Elementary School from 1970 until she retired in 1993.
She was a member of Aughwick Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Deacon and volunteered on many committees as an active member of the congregation. She served as treasurer for many years.
She was on the Woodland Auxiliary and volunteered at the Shirley Home for many years. She was passionate about football and baseball and often either watched the games on TV or listened on the radio.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and concerts and celebrating their high school and college graduations.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Germany Valley Cemetery, RD, Shirleysburg, PA. Friends will be received at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Sunday and 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday.
