Shirley O. Park, 83, formerly of Fairview Church Road, Mapleton, PA and more recently a resident of Amoroso Healthcare and Rehabilitation Woodridge, Harrisburg, PA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2026 at UPMC Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg, PA.
Born October 24, 1942 at Rockhill Furnace, PA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Sara Grace (Uttley) Booher. She was united in marriage to Lester A. Park on September 30, 1961. Mr. Park preceded in death on February 21, 2018 after 56 years of marriage.
Mrs.Park is survived by three children, Teena Smith and husband Jerome of Hershey, PA, Kimberly Keeney and husband John of York, PA and Scott Park and wife Melissa of Zebulon, NC, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and six siblings, Ella Humphrey and husband William, Veda McMullen, Jean Sarra and husband George, Sara Booher, Linda Bell and husband William and Kenneth Booher. Sister Arlene Lancaster and two grandchildren preceded in death.
She retired from Dallco Industries, Rockhill Furnace, PA after over 35 years service as a seamstress. She was known for her strong work ethic, creativity and attention to detail.
She was a member of the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene and in later years, a member of Fairview Evangelical Church, Three Springs, PA. Her faith was the foundation of her life and she was deeply involved in serving others through her church. She served as a Sunday School teacher and participated in Vacation Bible School, where she used props, creativity and even puppets to share her faith in ways that were engaging and meaningful. She had a special heart for children and dedicated much of her time to guiding and encouraging younger generations.
Mrs. Park and her husband were known for opening their home and hearts to many. Whether hosting youth gatherings, welcoming children to the farm for sledding or creating parade floats that went above and beyond, they created lasting memories and a place where people felt joy, warmth and belonging.
She had a generous spirit and found great joy in giving to others, always looking for ways to bring a smile to those around her.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving grandmother and a proud great grandmother who’s family was her greatest joy. Her kindness, creativity and unwavering faith will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of the service on Friday.
