Samuel D. Stains, Sr.

Samuel D. Stains, Sr., 90, Three Springs, PA died at 7:55 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born March 18, 1929 at Three Springs, he was the son of the late Newton and Sylvia (Grissinger) Stains.  He was married to F. Loree Neville on April 24, 1953 at Six Mile Run, PA. Mrs. Stains preceded in death on January 28, 1999.  

Mr. Stains is survived by a daughter DeLinda Bennett and husband Gene, Three Springs, PA and a son Samuel “Butch” Stains Jr., Three Springs, PA.

There are four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Two great grandchildren are deceased.

One brother and two sisters preceded in death.

He attended the First Baptist Church, Three Springs, PA.

Mr. Stains served two years with the US Army being stationed in Germany.

A private graveside service will be held at the Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, PA with Pastor Todd Griest officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, PA.
