Sally A. Rowe, 63, of Orbisonia, PA, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.
Born December 30, 1956 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ronald R. “Pink” Rowe, Sr and Nancy (Ayers) Rowe.
She is survived by two siblings, Vicki Horton of Orbisonia, PA and Ronald Rowe Jr. and his husband Larry Jones of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by two nieces, Abigail Horne and husband Stacy and Elizabeth Fleming and husband Matt and the four joys of her life, her great nieces and nephew, Rachel Horne, Logan Horne, Livia Fleming and Emma Fleming. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Kathryn (Black) Rowe and Pauline (Zimmerman) Ayers.
Ms. Rowe was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church, the XI Zeta Omicron Sorority, the Ladies Auxiliary of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA, the Orbisonia-Rockhill Historical Society and she volunteered at the Southern Huntingdon County Food Bank for 15 years.
She graduated from Southern Huntingdon County High School in the Class of 1974 and the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Pennsylvania College of Technology.
During her life she was employed at the East Broad Top Railroad, Holden’s IGA, the Southern Huntingdon County School District, she was Orbisonia Borough Tax Collector for many years and also owned and operated The Flower Shop, Orbisonia, PA, for many years.
She enjoyed attending her nieces and nephew’s events over the years and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football fan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Orbisonia United Methodist Church, 613 Cromwell St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Ed Seeley officiating. Interment will be made at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the church 6 - 8 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orbisonia- Rockhill Historical Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
