Ruth L. Hockenberry

Ruth L. Hockenberry, 58, of Rockhill Furnace, PA, died Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her home.

Born November 7, 1964 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Max E. Barry and Vera Mae (Hicks) Barry Patton. She was united in marriage to Gene Hockenberry on June 27, 1987. Mr. Hockenberry survives at their home.

She is also survived by two sons, Adam Hockenberry and wife Elissa of Duncansville, PA and Ryan Hockenberry and wife Meredith of Huntingdon, PA, three grandchildren, Ryker Owen, Palmer Mae and Holden Cecil and four brothers, Robert Patton, Jr., Karl Barry, Michael Patton and Patrick Patton and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Carl Patton, one sister, Glenna Patton and one brother, John Patton.

She was employed at Geisinger Mifflintown as a site supervisor for many years.

During her life she enjoyed going to the beach and to Atlantic City with her girlfriends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Three Springs, 8655 Hudson St., Three Springs, PA with Pastor Todd Griest officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, PA.
