Roy Gentry, Jr.

Roy Gentry, Jr., 66, of Blairs Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born on May 9, 1958 in West Grove, PA, he was the son of Roy Gentry, Sr. and Ruth (Wyatt) Gentry, who survive of Hustontown, PA.  He was united in marriage to Joyce Jennings on September 7, 1996.  Mrs. Gentry survives at home.

He is also survived by daughter Sara Gentry, son Christopher Gentry and siblings Brenda Johnson and husband Sam, Larry Gentry and wife Kim and Joseph Gentry and wife Michelle.

One son, Brandon Gentry, preceded him in death.

During his lifetime, he worked as a maintenance mechanic at Lake Raystown Resort, where he considered nature to be his office.  He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his wife fishing on the pontoon boat and working on his 1986 square-body Chevy truck.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Longwood Cemetery, 945 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA.  Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA from 6 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, PO Box 220, Orbisonia, PA 17243 to help defray the cost of funeral arrangements.
