Rolland Eugene Malott

Rolland Eugene Malott, 91, of Stonehouse Lane, Orbisonia, PA, died Monday, July 12, 2021 at his home.

Born May 9, 1930 at Wayne, MI, he was a son of the late Harold Evert and Marie (Miller) Malott. He was united in marriage to the former Lucinda (Houck) Painter on November 5, 1960. Mrs.Malott preceded in death on April 18, 2020.

He is survived by two sons, Enver W. Painter, Jr. and wife Ruby of Honolulu, HI and Dennis N. Malott and wife Barbara of Rincon, GA and five daughters, Cheryl Jacobs and husband Billy of Richmond, VA, Laura Dorsey of Huntingdon, PA, Rhonda Stafford and Lynn Woods, both of Savanna, GA, and Nanette Thomas and husband Kirk of Orbisonia, PA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren two great great grandchildren and four siblings, Phyllis Hayes, Diana Efthimion, Linda Sutton and James Malott,all of Michigan.. He was preceded in death by one son, Dallas Malott and two grandchildren.

Mr. Malott was a member of the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Orbisonia Lions Club, where he was a Melvin Jones recipient, Cromwell Lodge #572, F. & A. M, Orbisonia,PA, American Legion Post #107, Mt. Union, PA and was a charter member of the Southern Huntingdon County Community Choir. 

Mr. Malott retired from the United States Air Force in 1973 after serving 26 ½ years with the rank of CMSGT (E-9).

He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Jeffrey Knepper officiating. Interment will be made at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
