Robert C Rotz, 91 of McConnellsburg, PA, formerly of Orbisonia, PA, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care facility.
Born April 24, 1928 in Three Springs, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Elizabeth J. (Cromwell) Rotz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Thelma L. (Wilson) Rotz , who died March 21, 2012 as well as one brother, Richard Charles Rotz .
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army have served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Community State Bank of Orbisonia in 1990 after 35 years of service. He later worked at OHI True Value for 20 years.
Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State Nittany Lions and the Southern Huntingdon County High School Rockets.
Bob was an active member of the Masonic Fraternity for 66 years and was a Past Master of Cromwell Masonic Lodge #572 and was a member of Bedford Royal Arch Chapter #255. He was also a life member of Madden-Wennick Post 518 American Legion, Orbisonia, PA.
He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA.
He is survived by his son, Robert M. Rotz and wife Robin of McConnellsburg, granddaughter Heather Bloomer and husband Kris, grandson Aaron Rotz and wife Jennifer and the following great-granddaughters: Claire Bloomer, Meghan Bloomer, Genevieve Rotz and Josephine Rotz. He is also survived by one brother, Edward Dale Rotz of Three Springs and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home in Orbisonia at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 2 with Pastor Gail Kitchen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 - 4:00 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at Orbisonia Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Cromwell Lodge will conduct a Masonic Service at 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
