Rick E. "Dunnie" Dunmire

Rick E. "Dunnie" Dunmire, 52, of Orbisonia, PA, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at UPMC Altoona, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born April 3, 1968 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of Stanley and Shelby (Cramer) Dunmire who survive of RD, Three Springs, PA. He was united in marriage to the former Suzanne Varner on March 21, 1998 at the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dunmire survives at their home.

He is also survived by two children, Rashelle Hinkle and husband Kevin and Brandon Dunmire and companion Miranda Cessna, all of Orbisonia, PA, two grandchildren, Liam Cessna and Jackson Dunmire and two siblings, Candi Whitsel and husband Tom of RD, Three Springs, PA and Randy Dunmire and wife Shawna of Three Springs, PA.

Mr. Dunmire was a member of the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the church board, as the Sunday School Superintendent and as treasurer. He was also a member of the Orbisonia-Rockhill Historical Society and was active as a Civil War Reenactor.

He was the owner/operator of Dunnie’s Garage, Rockhill Furnace, PA and was a partner in the software company AIS.

Mr. Dunmire was a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves.

His greatest joy was his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, 582 Meadow St., Rockhill Furnace, PA with Rev. Darrell Nicklow officiating. Interment will be made at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene 6 - 9 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
