Richard O. Waite

Richard O. Waite, 70, of Burnt Cabins, PA, died Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home.

Born January 3, 1951 at Saltillo, PA, he was the son of the late Orris and Ruby (Rowe) Waite. He was united in marriage to the former Ruth L. Mills on October 26, 1974 at McConnellsburg, PA. Mrs. Waite preceded in death on August 3, 1997.

He is survived by two sons, James Waite and Kurtis Waite and wife Sara, all of Burnt Cabins, PA, two grandchildren, Edwinna Waite and Emmett Waite, one sister, Judith Thomas of Hollidaysburg, PA and a companion, Shelby Johnson of Woodstock, VA.

Mr. Waite was employed as an over the road truck driver for 47 years, mostly driving for Gabler Trucking, Chambersburg, PA and Cressler Trucking, Shippensburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at the Dublin Mills Community Church Cemetery, Hustontown, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
