Raymond B. "Bud / Pappy" Scott, Jr.

Raymond B. Scott, Jr. 84, entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2020. 

Born February 12, 1936 the son of the late Raymond Scott, Sr. and Thelma (Lindemer) Scott. He was the brother of the late Ronald Scott and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

He was united in marriage to the former Shelby Jean Price on May 7, 1955 in Allenport. They were married for 60 years before she passed away on April 19, 2016. 

Three children survive, David Scott and wife Kim of Orbisonia, Susan Fleming and husband Max of Reedsville and Darius Scott and wife Francine of Orbisonia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy J. Kurey on December 12, 1986 and a son, Daniel C. Scott on February 14, 1987. 

He was the proud pappy of 10 grandchildren: Stacy Book, Brian Scott, Dan Scott, Craig Scott, Nick Scott, Eric Scott, Matthew Helton, Shawn Kurey, Kristen Devlin and Alanna Scott and 2 step-grandchildren Alisia Duvall and Tabatha Williamson. 

He has sixteen great grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren. One grandson and one great grandson preceded him in death. 

He was especially fond of his great-granddaughters Mariah and Caitlyn Kurey, Christina Scott, Shyra Lamberson and his sidekick Zayda Kurey. 

During his life he worked with his father on the family farm cutting and hauling paper wood. He was a lineman for Henkles & McCoy, and a truck driver for Wishard's Trucking. 

He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
