Raymond H. Fields, 97, formerly of Three Springs and most recently Orbisonia, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.
Born on September 28, 1923, he was the son of the late George and Viola (McClain) Fields. He was united in marriage to the former Harriett M. Steele on September 6, 1947. Mrs. Fields preceded in death in 1993. He later married the former June Z. Watkins on August 20, 1994. She preceded in death in 2003.
He is survived by daughters Kathryn Bollman, Bedford, PA, Barbara Rosensteel, Ephrata, PA, Nancy Vasbinder, Three Springs, PA and Joyce Rummel and husband Dennis, Millerstown, PA and several step-children. There are twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Violet Haun, Florida and Mary Cornell, Everett, PA also survive.
Siblings Verna Fields, Alice Fields, Elsie Clippinger, Jessie Fields and Glenn Fields preceded in death.
Mr. Fields served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Prentiss. He was a life member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA.
He was a member of Immanuel Bible Church, Three Springs, PA.
During his lifetime, Mr. Fields was a dairy farmer, worked in logging and construction, served as Clay Township supervisor for many years, served on the Southern Huntingdon County School District School Board and the Clay Township Election Board.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Immanuel Bible Church, Three Springs, PA with Rev. Steven Heaster officiating. Interment will be made at Cherry Grove Cemetery, adjacent to the church. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
