R. Dean Jenkins, 86, White Road, Three Springs, PA died Friday, September 20, 2019 at the home of his daughter and son in law at Williamsburg, PA.

Born April 28, 1933 in Hill Valley, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ellen (Dubbs) Jenkins.  He was married to Patricia Gutshall on October 31, 1973. Mrs. Jenkins preceded in death on December 3, 2014.

He is survived by a daughter Shirley Kifer and husband Jeff, Williamsburg, PA along with two grandchildren, Marc Kifer and wife Melissa and Christy Fowler, along with two great grandchildren, Allison Kifer and Jacob Kifer.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Cohenour, Three Springs, PA and Kathleen Mahoney, Lakeland, FL and two brothers Carl Jenkins, Chambersburg, PA and Donald Jenkins, Orbisonia, PA.  A sister Phyllis Hepfer and three brothers, Sherman Jenkins, Gerald Jenkins and Joseph E. Jenkins are deceased.

Mr. Jenkins retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA in February 1988 after 36 years service.

He was a 1949 graduate of Mount Union Area High School.  

Mr. Jenkins was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their hunting camp on Jacks Mountain.

He was a former Lions Club member and was a social member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Orbisonia, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Ed Seeley officiating.  Interment will be at Monroe Valley Cemetery, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6--8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
