Peggy A. Kitting

Peggy A. Kitting, 45, of Lewistown, PA, died Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.

Born on October 24, 1977 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. Kitting and Christine Kitting.

She was preceded in death by her companion Gary Gerringer in 2002.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by children Chy Gerringer and companion Kelly Hagans, Melody Gerringer and Cherokee Gerringer, step-children Grace Whisonant and Hope Whisonant, grandchildren Gary, Bailey, Carlayah, Noah and Ethan and two step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are family members Liz Wilmouth and husband James, Keya Brooks and husband Adan Negron, Tina Schuler and husband Josh, Mandi Horton, June Romig and husband Doug, Wanda Stewart, Susan Norris, Junior Gerringer, Michael Kitting and wife Sebrina along with their children Troy and Raymond Kitting, niece Amber (applejacks) and great-nieces Lola Thompson and Sierra French.

Brother Michael Kitting and wife Sebrina (Bean) took care of her growing up.  Her sisters and brothers came into her life with the help of her Uncle Ernie.

She loved her friends, family and her good friend Gloria.

Peggy loved her grandbabies, video chatting with her grandsons Gary and Ethan every day, enjoyed her dogs Jack and Izzy, taking pictures, camping, fishing, doing crafts and art projects.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Ernie Brooks officiating.  Interment will be private at Shope Cemetery, Orbisonia, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, PO Box 220, Orbisonia, PA 17243 to help defray the cost of funeral arrangements.
