Patrick Donald Nelson

Patrick Donald Nelson, 77, Montoursville, PA died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at his home.

Born March 17, 1943 at DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Nupp) Nelson. 

He was married to Paula Lane on December 29, 1981.  Mrs. Nelson survives at home.

One brother Rex Nelson and wife Karen survive of Montoursville, PA.  A brother Roger Nelson is deceased.

He was a member of the Heilman United Methodist Church, Montoursville, PA.

Mr. Nelson served during the Vietnam era with the US Air Force.  He was stationed in Thailand, the Philippines and Guam along with other locations.

He was retired from Textron, Lycoming where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.

Mr. Nelson served on the Board of Directors and was a life member of Consolidated Sportsmen, Lycoming County, life member of the NRA, life member of VFW Post #7863, Duboistown,  member of American Legion Post #104, Montoursville, and the Loyalsock Mens Club.

He had a passion for shooting and enjoyed his time at the shooting range.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heilman United Methodist Church, ℅ Marian Plank, Treasurer, 1462 Kehrer Hill Road, Montoursville, PA  17754.
