Pastor Jim Hullihen, 52, of Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, PA, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his home.
Born May 7, 1971 at Colver, PA, he was a son of the late Russell and Betty (Stiffler) Hullihen. He was united in marriage to the former Ivy Orsborn on May 20, 1995. Mrs. Hullihen survives at their home.
He is also survived by two children, Naomi Nelson and husband Brandon of Cortland, NY and Noah Hullihen at home and five siblings, Judy Baldish and husband Ralph of Strongstown, PA, Evelyn Parkins of Ebensburg, PA, Nancy Sowolla and husband Brian of Revloc, PA, Kimberly Lamar and husband Richard of Johnstown, PA and Russell Dennis Hullihen of Ebensburg.
Pastor Hullihen served on the board of directors of the Southern Huntingdon County Food Bank, the Shirley Home, Shirleysburg, PA, Camp Blue Diamond and the Middle Pennsylvania District of the Church of the Brethren.
He was a member and served as the pastor of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, PA, for the past 25 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, 17193 Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, PA with Pastor David Banaszak officiating. Friends may call at the church 6 - 9 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, 17193 Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, PA 17260 or to the Middle Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren Minister in Training Fund, 1113 Mt. Vernon, Ave., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
