Michael Dewayne McNerlin

Michael D. McNerlin, 67, of Mapleton, PA, died Monday, January 26, 2026 at UPMC Altoona, Altoona, PA.

Born on May 3, 1958 in Lake Charles, LA, he was the son of the late Donald W. and Ruth E. (Tate) McNerlin. He was united in marriage to Cindy E. (Hamilton) McNerlin on June 28, 1991. Mrs. McNerlin preceded in death on December 7, 2021.

He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Hall and husband Casey and one step-son, Bradley Worthy. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Zoey Hall, Reagan Hall and Jaxon Hall and two siblings, Patrick McNerlin and Anna Mae Stephens.

Mr. McNerlin was preceded in death by one brother, Donald McNerlin, grandson, Zane Hall and brother in law, Charles Stephens.

He was a member of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division. He was also a member of the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for many years.

During his life, he had a great love of fishing and most of all loved spending time with his grandkids. 

The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
