Merrill D. Gerringer

Merrill D. Gerringer, 88, of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at his home.

Born October 27, 1936 at Three Springs, PA, he was a son of the late Scott and Colista (Rohrer) Gerringer. He was united in marriage to the former Nellie Varner on June 16, 1960. Mrs.Gerringer preceded in death on October 6, 2015.

He is survived by four children, June Romig and husband Douglas of Lewistown, PA, Wanda Stewart of Mifflintown, PA, Susan Norris of Orbisonia and Junior Gerringer of Orbisonia. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and one sister, Pearl Hoffman of Three Springs, PA. He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Gerringer, two brothers and four sisters.

During his life he was employed at various sawmills over the years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Shope Cemetery, Orbisonia, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
