Max R. Baer, Sr.

Max R. Baer, Sr., 84, of Fannettsburg Pike, Shade Gap, PA, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born December 10, 1934 at Shade Gap, PA, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary (Morgan) Baer. He was united in marriage to the former Dorothy F. Devlin on January 1, 1955. Mrs. Baer survives at their home.

He is also survived by one daughter, Terry Long, one son, Max R. Baer, Jr. and one stepson, Clyde Scott and his wife Krista, all of Shade Gap, PA, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters, Pauline Peterson and Nancy Baer, both of Shade Gap, PA. Three brothers, Robert, Bernard and Ned Baer and one sister, Lois Meece, preceded in death.

At one time he enjoyed playing golf.

He was employed as a truck driver for most of his life.

Mr. Baer was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Army.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA.
