Matthew A. Brechbiel

Matthew A. Brechbiel, 34, of Three Springs, PA died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his residence after a battle with cancer.

Born on May 20, 1991 in McConnellsburg, PA, he was the son of Rex and Sandra (Bigler) Brechbiel, who survive of Three Springs, PA.

He is survived by companion Krystal Traxler and her daughter Kynslee, brother Colby Brechbiel and fiance Jasmine Richards, nephew Oakley Brechbiel and maternal grandmother Nancy McMullen.

Mr. Brechbiel was preceded in death by infant brother Jonah, maternal grandfather William Bigler, maternal step-grandfather Paul McMullen, Sr. and paternal grandparents Roy and Mary Brechbiel.

He was a graduate of the Southern Huntingdon High School - Class of 2009.  He reached the level of Eagle Scout 2009 with Boy Scout Troop 237, Orbisonia, PA.

During his lifetime, he was employed at The Mantiowac Company, Inc., Shady Grove, PA and later as a welder at Oshkosh (formerly JLG Industries), McConnellsburg, PA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending demolition derbies and taking trips to the beach.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 8, 2025 at Fairview Church, 20091 Fairview Church Road, Three Springs, PA with Pastor Adam Morgan officiating.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
