Mary Margaret (McMath) Yohn - Beloved mother and grandmother.

Mary Margaret Yohn, 93, of Shade Valley Road, Shade Gap went to be with the Lord Monday morning, January 16, 2023 at Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. She loved her life and meeting and talking with all people and showing kindness to all.

Born June 17, 1929, in Shade Valley, she was the daughter ofthe late Samuel J. McMath, Sr and Camillus Frances Werner.  She was married to the late C. Eugene Yohn for 60 years.

Mrs. Yohn is survived by four children, Mary Frances Jaymes, Shade Valley; Stephen Yohn (Connie), Shade Gap; Mark Yohn (Pauline), Greencastle; and Eric Yohn (Marta), Mapleton Depot.; seven grandchildren, Brent Yohn (Shana), Scotland, PA; Justin Yohn (Kathleen), Neelyton; Casey Jaymes, Leesburg, VA; Christy Michaels (Andrew), Orville, OH; Scott Yohn, Maugansville, MD; Brock Yohn (Daryle), Mapleton, Elissa Yohn-Rowe (Jack McCartney), Shirleysburg; Dalton Ness, Shade Valley and Autumn Hocker, Shade Gap; and 11 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Elizabeth McClure, Martha Cullen (Donald), Kathleen Donaldson (Woody) all of Lewistown; Frank McMath, Bellefonte; John McMath, Shade Gap, and Gerald McMath (Darlene) of Shade Valley and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth McMath and Barbara McMath, RD Mount Union; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents; 2 brothers, Samuel McMath, Jr. and E. James McMath, an infant brother, Patrick McMath, son-in-law Carl F. Jaymes, and great-grandson Nathaniel Michael preceded her in death.

Mrs. Yohn was a member and elder of the Shade Gap Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Shade Valley Farm Women Society, Cromwell Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, the Shade Gap Area Fire Company and its Auxiliary, and the Tuscarora Valley Grange.

She attended Orbisonia High School and graduated from St. Xavier Academy, Greensburg in 1948. She was employed by the Southern Huntingdon County School District for 15 years. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM, January 21, 2023 at the Shade Gap Presbyterian Church, Shade Gap, intersection of routes 522 and 35, Shade Gap, PA with the Rev. Beverly Skopic officiating. Interment will be made in the Salem Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills, PA.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
