Marian Jean (Laird) Wible

Marian Jean Wible, 91, formerly of Three Springs, PA and more recently Shirleysburg, PA, died Friday, March 1, 2024 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon, Huntingdon, PA.

Born on February 15, 1933 in Mt. Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Darlie (Mitchell) Laird.  She was united in marriage to Norman E. Wible on September 15, 1951.  Mr. Wible preceded in death on July 15, 1975.

She is survived by sons Gary Wible and wife Paula, Three Springs, PA and Larry Wible and wife Diane, Saltillo, PA, daughter Carol Cutshall, Saltillo, PA, daughter-in-law Sharon Wible, Three Springs, PA, grandchildren Marissa, Monica, Emily, Nicole, Kristen, Lindsey and Bryant, great-grandchildren Haley, Conner, Jada, Jules, Kingston, Adrienne, Abigail, Phillip, Garrett, Bridget, Aubree, Gatlen and Bowen and great-great-grandchildren Emberly and Leroy.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wible was preceded in death by son Brian Wible, son-in-law Perry Cutshall, sister Hazel Ruff and brother Clarence Laird, Jr.

She was a graduate of Orbisonia High School - Class of 1951.

Mrs. Wible was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Three Springs, PA, where she assisted with the children’s program “Mondays for Jesus”.  She was a member of the Three Springs Volunteer Fire Company Fire Ladies and past member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA

During her lifetime, she was primarily a homemaker and had worked as a secretary at the former Wible’s Concrete, Mt. Union, PA.  She enjoyed bowling, watching Lady Rockets basketball and loved to play bingo.  She loved her children and grandchildren very much.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. David Ford officiating.  Interment will be at Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday.
