Mabel A. Johnson

Mabel A. Johnson, 86, of Neelyton, PA, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

Born February 18, 1936 in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Price) Holden. She was united in marriage to Glenn F. Johnson, Sr. on April 16, 1953. Mr. Johnson preceded in death on April 20, 2008.

She is survived by three children, Roy Johnson of Camp Hill, PA, Cathy Foreman and husband Robert of Three Springs, PA and Molly Wasnick and husband Bruce of Neelyton, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three sisters, Erma Myers of Newport, PA, Louise Lynn of Minot, ND and Shirley Armstrong of Rockhill Furnace, PA. She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Johnson, Jr., five brothers, three sisters and one great grandson.

Mrs. Johnson attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, PA.

During her life she was the owner/operator of Mabel Johnson’s Beauty Shop, Neelyton, PA for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Nossville Cemetery, Blairs Mills, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
