Linda L. Mills

Linda L. Mills, 78, of Croghan Pike, Shade Gap, PA, died at 2:56 AM, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born September 30, 1947 at Shade Gap, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dean and Thelma (Whitsel) Murphy. She was united in marriage to Garret L. Mills on September 25, 1965. Mr. Mills preceded in death on April 9, 2019.

She is survived by three children, Lori Shoop and husband Bryan of Shade Gap, Michele Welsh and husband Kenneth of McConnellsburg and Garret D. Mills and wife Danielle of Shade Gap. 

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brandi Christy, Austin Shoop, Justin Welsh, Andrew Shoop, Peyton Mills and Darren Mills, nine great grandchildren, Finley Christy, Jack Christy, Malachi Christy, Eleanor Christy, Camryn Welsh, Amelia Welsh, Lucas Shoop, Hudson Chilcote and Amara Chilcote and two brothers, Gary Murphy and Randy Murphy, both of Shade Gap. One sister, Carol Doyle, preceded in death.

Mrs. Mills had been a member of Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, PA and more recently a member of Living Water Christian Outreach, Three Springs, PA. 

During her life she was employed by the Southern Huntingdon County School District as a teacher’s aide and cafeteria worker at Shade Gap Elementary School, Koontz IGA, McConnellsburg, PA and at Sagner, Inc., McConnellsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Dustin Boden officiating. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
