Linda L. (Fortney) Cohenour

Linda L. Cohenour, 77, of Three Springs, PA died Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at her residence.

Born on July 28, 1946 in Mt. Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin J. and Nancy Kathryn (Hill) Fortney.  She was married to Gerald L. Cohenour, Sr. on May 23, 1965.  Mr. Cohenour preceded in death on July 27, 2017.

She is survived by children Terry Cohenour, Randy Cohenour and wife Pam, both of Three Springs, PA, Frank Cohenour, Three Springs, PA, Heidi Getz and husband Terry, Mapleton Depot, PA, Stacy Kauffman and husband Matt and Katrina Benson and husband Adam, both of Three Springs, PA.

There are 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.  She also had many “adopted” grandchildren from her time working at Southern Huntingdon County High School.

Three sons, Darin Cohenour, G. Lee Cohenour, Jr. and Rick Cohenour, daughter-in-law Danian Cohenour and siblings Clarence E. Fortney, Fred H. Fortney, Harry J. Fortney, Nellie M. Seilhamer, Carolyn A. Lane, and Judy K. Zeigler preceded in death.

Mrs. Cohenour was a member of Living Water Christian Outreach Church, Three Springs, PA.

Family was her number one priority. She enjoyed spending quality time with them, especially during the holidays and reunions. She also enjoyed spending time at the Three Springs Senior Citizen Center and participating in activities at church. Occasionally, she would try her luck playing scratch off tickets and the games at the gas station. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Living Water Christian Outreach Church, 7735 Meadow Gap Road, Three Springs, PA with Pastor Dustin Boden officiating.  Interment will be at Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the church from 7 - 9:00 PM Friday evening and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Water Christian Outreach, 7735 Meadow Gap Road, Three Springs, PA or to the Three Springs Senior Center, 21338 Church Street, Three Springs, PA.
