John H. Miller

John H. Miller, 84, of Shade Gap, PA, died Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born January 25, 1935 at Shade Gap, PA, he was a son of the late Howard “Bill” and Hilda (Baer) Miller. He was united in marriage to the former Edith McMullen on December 23, 1961. Mrs. Miller survives at their home.

He is also survived by two sons, Steven J. Miller of Shade Gap, PA and Todd C. Miller and wife Leah of Neelyton, PA, two grandchildren, Daron Miller and wife Erin and Rachel Miller, two step grandsons, Joshua Crull and wife Stefanie and Zachary Crull and wife Michelle, three great grandsons, Corrie, Caleb and Bodhi Miller, two step great granddaughters, Brooklynn and Ensley Crull and two sisters, Alda Rose Miller and Jane Moore, both of Shade Gap, PA. He was preceded in death by one step daughter, Brenda Colyer, one brother, Ted Miller and one brother in law, Robert Moore.

Mr. Miller was a life member of the Shade Gap Area Volunteer Fire Company and a member of Mt. Union Lodge #688 F. & A. M.

He retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company after many years service. Prior to that he worked as a pipeliner.

He loved spending time with his two dogs, Molly and Zoey and hunting season.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, Pa with Rev. Marlin “Butch” Neil officiating. Interment will be made at Fair Ridge Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 7 - 9 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Mt. Union Lodge #688 will conduct a masonic funeral service at 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The Shade Gap Area Fire Co. will conduct a memorial service at 8:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
