John C. Goshorn

John C. Goshorn, 81, of Summit Vista Lane, Blairs Mills, PA, died Friday, August 27, 2021 at Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born August 26, 1940 in Tell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Banks and Elizabeth (Chilcote) Goshorn. He was united in marriage to the former Jennifer Ewing on December 10, 1976. Mrs. Goshorn survives at their home.

He is also survived by five children, Penny Hill and husband Ken of Blairs Mills, PA, Kevin Goshorn and wife Janine of Saltillo, PA, Christie Henry and husband Lonnie of Hustontown, PA, Monica Wible and husband Jason of Three Springs, PA and Matthew Goshorn and wife Jodi of Port Royal, PA, nineteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four sisters, Callista Baer of Shade Gap, PA, Lucy Goshorn and husband Harold of Spring Run, PA, Barb Goshorn and husband Larry of Spring Run, PA and Nancy Zumbrum of New Oxford, PA. One son, Mark Goshorn, one granddaughter Mekenzie Goshorn and one brother, Paul Goshorn, preceded in death.

Mr. Goshorn was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA and the Knights of Columbus, Mt. Union, PA.

He retired from the Mount Union Area School District after 40 years as a teacher. He was also a full time dairy farmer and also owned and operated Goshorn’s Racing Supplies and Goshorn’s Whitetails.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 20896 Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA with Father Joseph Fleming officiating. Interment will be made at Shade Valley Cemetery, Blairs Mills, PA. Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA 6 - 8 PM on Thursday and 12:30-1:30 PM on Friday. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
