Joanne Alice (Young) March, age 92, died Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Veterans Administration Home in Hollidaysburg, PA.  Joanne was married 49 years to the late Wayne March of Three Springs, PA. She is survived by her children and stepchildren Susan Murray, Don Struchen, Chuck Struchen, Chris Struchen, Wess March, Lynda Edwards and Anthony March as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Frank Storey Young and Edna Dean Young, Joanne was predeceased by all of her many brothers and sisters along with two sons, Dave Struchen and Ralph March, and daughter-in-law Lucy March.

Joanne was a skilled seamstress, sewing prize-winning Halloween costumes, mother-daughter dresses, and even a few wedding dresses. A fan of the Food Channel, Joanne was a creative cook.  She also loved to read and always had a stack of books by her bedside. Joanne was a member of the Blue Juniata VFW Auxiliary, Post 5754.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home with Father Brad Baldwin, TOR officiating. Interment will be at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM-11:30 AM prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blue Juniata VFW Auxiliary, Post 5754.
