Jack Flasher Obituary

Jack C. Flasher, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born on January 6, 1936 in the humble community of Pogue, Pennsylvania. As a young man, Jack relocated to Chester County where he lived a full life that spanned nine decades.  He found great joy in his family and in the outdoors.  He enjoyed simple pleasures - hunting, fishing and his time with friends and family.

Jack was a master in his craft of diesel truck maintenance and repair.  He never shied away from hard work and spent more than forty years working in this capacity for the same employer.

Jack walked through life with a quiet strength and passion for helping others. He had a selfless spirit that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.  On several occasions he opened his home to those in need.  He was not interested in accumulating things in life, but what he had he shared with others.  He had compassion for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.

Jack's life was enriched by the love of his family. Though preceded in death by his beloved sons, Paul and David Flasher, Jack's legacy continues through his daughter, Kathleen Moore, and his son, Phil Flasher, supported by his wife Karen. Jack's kind spirit can be seen in his grandchildren, Joshua Flasher (fiancée Roxanne), Nicole Bartley (husband Andrew), Nate Flasher (wife Rachel), and Grace Flasher. Jack had a soft spot in his heart for his great-grandchildren, Marilyn, Zaiden, Camryn  and Finnegan. He is also survived by Floretta Lauber and Sharon Flasher who continued to be a loving part of his family.

To some friends, co-workers and family Jack was known as “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, a term of endearment that would often bring him a chuckle.

As we reflect on Jack's life, we are reminded of the words of the great Billy Graham, "My home is in Heaven. I'm just traveling through this world."   As we say farewell to Jack, we do so with the comfort that he has been warmly welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026 at Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, PA with Rev. David Ford officiating.
