Inez P. Kane, 89, formerly of Orbisonia, PA and more recently of Shirleysburg, PA, died Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home.

Born March 27, 1932 in Wayne Twp., Mifflin Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late DeKalb Whitsel and Nellie (Reeder) Heidel and the step daughter of the late David Heidel. She was united in marriage to Donald B. Kane, Sr. on June 10, 1951. Mr. Kane preceded in death on May 30, 2015.

She is survived by two children, Kathy Watkin of Saltillo, PA and Donald Kane, Jr. and wife Kim of Huntingdon, PA, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Kane attended the Aughwick Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, Shirleysburg, PA. She served as mayor of Orbisonia Borough for a number of years.

During her life she was mainly a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Timothy Miller officiating. Interment will be made at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
