Henry C. Cresswell, Jr.

Henry C. Cresswell, Jr., 87, of Thompson Lane, Huntingdon, PA, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon.

Born January 3, 1933 at Petersburg, PA, he was a son of the late Henry C. and Frances (Bell) Cresswell, Sr. He was united in marriage to the former Jean L. Lane on February 6, 1953 at Saltillo, PA. Mrs. Cresswell preceded in death on June 24, 2017.

He is survived by five sons, Van L. Cresswell and wife Minnie of Alexandria, PA, Lynn J. Cresswell of Chambersburg, PA, Craig L. Cresswell and wife Kathy of Mapleton, PA, Brian Cresswell and wife Sherry of Smithfield, PA and Timothy Cresswell and wife Jodi of Cassville, PA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Lou Serifin of Hockessin, DE. One brother and two sisters preceded in death.

He was a member of the Valley View Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Piney Ridge, Huntingdon, PA and a life member of the National Rifle Association.

He retired from PennDot after 27 years service.

Mr. Cresswell was a veteran of the U. S. Naval Reserves.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at the I. O. O. F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA.
