Hazel L. Winnick

Hazel L. Winnick, 97, formerly of Orbisonia and Hazel Drive, Huntingdon, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Embassy of Huntingdon Manor, Huntingdon, PA.

Born June 14, 1925 in Cromwell Twp, Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Flasher) Winnick. 

She is survived by one son, Thomas Winnick, Sr. and wife Sharon of Huntingdon, two grandsons, Thomas Winnick, Jr. and fiance Bernice and Michael Garlock and wife Jess, one grandson in law, Dan McCartney, six great grandchildren, Roxanne and husband Jordan, Rachelle and companion Eric, Ryan, Ben, Thomas, III and wife Candy and Kaylee and companion Timmy and six great great grandchildren, Sophia, Zack, Jr., Bubba, Bo, her namesake, Margaret Hazel and Kian. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Wendy McCartney, five brothers, Robert Jr., Howard, Lloyd, Earl and Roy and three sisters, Betty, Grace and Zelda.

During her life she was employed at U. S. Sports, Inc., Huntingdon, PA, Grief Brothers Manufacturing, Inc., Mt. Union, PA and Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA.

She loved spending time with her family, going to yard sales, traveling and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved her pets, having several dogs and cats during her life and was especially fond of her last cat, Princess.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be private.
