Gladys V. (Stapleton) Carlin

Gladys V. Carlin, 83, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born on November 29, 1938 in Huntingdon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Esther (Snook) Stapleton.  She was united in marriage to Bernard W. Carlin on December 2, 1958.  Mr. Carlin preceded in death on July 8, 1998.

Mrs. Carlin is survived by children Patricia Walters, Karen Beck and husband Dennis, Terry Carlin, Sr. and wife Jackie and Sue Ann Miller and husband Donnie, grandchildren Michelle Walters, Adam McGarvey, Ashley Gartland, Terry Carlin, Jr., Jennifer Carlin, Taylor Boden, Kathy Peachey, Jessica Snare, Cameron Miller and Keerstin Miller and several great-grandchildren.

Siblings Mary Hockenberry and Clarence Stapleton also survive.

She was preceded in death by siblings Roy Stapleton, Ronald Stapleton, Norman Stapleton, Jr., Alberta Sechrest, Laura Stapleton and Thelma Dodson.

Mrs. Carlin was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Orbisonia, PA.

She was employed at Robin Footwear, Mt. Union, PA and later was a homemaker.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Carlin loved going to church, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Church of God of Prophecy,  354 Cromwell Street, Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Donald Pflugh officiating.  Interment will be at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, PA.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
