Gerald C. Kling, 74, of Burnt Cabins, PA died Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home.
Born September 16, 1945 in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County, PA, he was the son of the late Evans and Grace (Piper) Kling.
Mr. Kling was married to Deborah S. Miller on August 6, 1966. Mrs. Kling survives at home.
He is survived by four daughters: Anita G. Clark and husband Ron, Shade Gap, PA; Alicia J. Bennett and husband Keith, Bethesda, MD; Jessica M. Jones and husband Joseph R., Shippensburg, PA; and Jereanna B. Scott and husband Eric T., Shirleysburg, PA. Also surviving are a brother, Lester Kling, York, PA and grandsons Dusty Clark and wife Lauren and Evan Bennett.
One brother, John Kling, three half-sisters, Geraldine Strait, Genevieve Booth and Freda Welch and a half-brother, James Piper, preceded in death.
During his lifetime he was employed as a journeyman lineman for over 50 years with IBEW Local #1319. He was a member of Cromwell Lodge #572, Free and Accepted Masons, Orbisonia, PA.
He attended Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA.
Mr. Kling was a hard-working person who enjoyed farming, racing, politics, and his faithful companion Sassy. He had a special bond with his nephew, John Kling.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be having private services. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA.
