George Wade Reed

George Wade Reed, 58, of Three Springs, PA, passed away on July 14, 2024 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 21, 1965 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late George E. and Nancy (Cuper) Reed.  He was united in marriage to Melinda Collins on August 6, 1988.  Mrs. Reed survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Tricia (Reed) Farine and husband Brandon and Kyle Reed and wife Macy (Patterson) and grandchildren Kain Farine, Natalie Farine, Thea Reed, Cali Reed and Alys Reed.  Also surviving are siblings Cindy Myers and husband Artie, Needmore, PA, Lance Reed and wife Christy, Cassville, PA, Matt Reed and wife Kellie, Three Springs, PA and Rita Davis, West Virginia, mother-in-law Betty Collins, Three Springs, PA and father-in-law John Collins, Hustontown, PA.

He had special bond with nieces Alexis and Emma Fogal and with nephew Noah Fogal.

Mr. Reed was a graduate of the Southern Huntingdon County High School - Class of 1983.

He was of Catholic faith.

During his lifetime, Mr. Reed worked at various jobs.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Immanuel Bible Church, 22054 Starr Road, Three Springs, PA.
