George D. Ansell

George D. Ansell, 63, of Fairview Church Road, Mapleton, PA, died Saturday, June 19, 2021 at his home.

Born April 27, 1958 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late Carl E. and Mary (McMullen) Ansell. He was united in marriage to the former Katherine Snyder on June 9, 1979. Mrs. Ansell survives at their home.

He is also survived by two daughters, Virginia Gossard and husband Andy of Newville, PA and Christina Ansell at home, two grandchildren, Marlana Metzner and Kirk Metzner, one great granddaughter, Scarlett Koons and four siblings, Sheryl Oswald and husband Alex of Huntingdon, PA, Susan Ansell of White GA, Kathy Lynn Crowley and husband Michael of Woodstock, GA and Gary Ansell and wife Karen of Huntingdon, PA.

Mr. Ansell retired from SCI Huntingdon as a corrections officer, attaining the rank of sergeant.

He enjoyed NASCAR and visits from his great granddaughter.

Mr. Ansell was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Living Water Christian Outreach, 7735 Meadow Gap Road, Three Springs, PA with Pastor Dustin Boden officiating. Interment will be made at Fairview Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
