Gene S. Barron, 75, of Three Springs, PA, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.
Born on November 6, 1950 in Three Springs, PA, he was the son of the late Sheldon and Arlene (Beers) Barron. He was united in marriage to Brenda A. May in 1973. Mrs. Barron survives at their home.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Barron and wife Gwen and Tom Barron and wife Christy, seven grandchildren, Jonathan and fiancée Shaylin, Joshua and wife Hannah, Mackenna, Jeremiah, Logan, Levi and Jessa.
He is also survived by two siblings, Virginia Newman and Nancy Whitsel, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Barron was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Barron.
He was a member of the Optimus Club and a church group, the “Unicorns”.
In his earlier years, Mr. Barron was a heavy equipment mechanic until the early ‘90s, when he started work as a mechanic and owner/operator of Barron’s Garage, which he ran for over 30 years. He was an avid racecar enthusiast and enjoyed spending his free time at the track with his sons and grandsons. Gene was also a coin collector. In his retirement years, he loved spending time with his wife and grandchildren, along with his dog, Sheba, whom he loved dearly.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
