Garry W. Gutshall

Garry W. Gutshall, 78, of Rockhill Furnace, PA, died Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.

Born on March 11, 1947 in Mt. Union, PA, he was the son of the late Melvin Wayne and Evelyn (Zuckerman) Gutshall.  He was united in marriage to Catherine M. Fleming on August 1, 1966.  Mrs. Gutshall preceded in death on January 12, 2018.

He is survived by children Gary Gutshall, Belinda George and companion Tracy, Melissa Spooner and husband John (with whom he loved like a son), Michele Gutshall and wife Savila Myers, Ashley Myers and husband Cary and Dustin Heisey and wife Monica, grandchildren Jared, Zack, Faith and Ryan, seven great-grandchildren and sister Deanna Wakefield.

Mr. Gutshall was also survived by brother-in-law and best friend Ronald Fleming and by Linda Clark, his wife in the eyes of God, with whom he shared a wonderful relationship for the past few years. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister Barbara Smith and brother Ray Gutshall.

He was a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA and Blue Juniata Post 5754, V. F. W., Mount Union, PA.

During his lifetime, he owned and operated a construction company and later became a realtor.  He was the biggest fisherman, avid hunter, played drums in a band and enjoyed taking walks with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Rich Hamman and Rev. Sandra Snyder-Shoop officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
