Faye A. Bard

Faye A. Bard, 76, formerly of Shirleysburg, PA, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born March 19, 1943 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd William and Blanche Gertrude (Johnson) Miller. She was united in marriage to Barry Michael Bard on March 17, 1962. Mr. Bard preceded in death on November 12, 2013.

She is survived by three children, Kelly L. Bard Rogers of Shirleysburg, PA, Joey L. Bard Glassco of Pepper Pike, Ohio and Michael A. Bard of Shirleysburg, PA and two grandchildren, Mia Claire Glassco and Joshua Michael Bard. She is also survived by three siblings, Ronald Miller and Donald Miller, both of Shirleysburg, PA and Darlene Warfel of Lancaster, PA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Stapleton and Hilda Minehart and one brother, Paul Miller.

Mrs. Bard was a member of the Shirleysburg United Methodist Church, the Shirleysburg Heritage Association, Mt. Union Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and had been a Girl Scout leader. She was a graduate of the former Captain Jack High School, Mt. Union, PA.

She retired from the former Owens-Corning Fiberglass, Huntingdon, PA after over 30 years service. Prior to that she was employed at the Allenport Elementary School.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Germany Valley Cemetery, RD, Shirleysburg, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
