Evelyn J. Park

Evelyn J. Park, 98, formerly of Hares Valley, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born June 19, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Simon Wesley and Elva (Yohn) Pannebaker. She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Park on July 12, 1944 at Saltillo, PA. Mr. Park preceded in death on January 15, 2012.

She is survived by three children, Thomas Park and wife Suzanne of Tyrone, PA, Gene Park and wife Tammy of Mapleton, PA and The Villages, FL and Mona Brentzel and husband Craig of The Villages, FL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Foster and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Park was the last surviving charter member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Saltillo, PA, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and was involved in many other church functions. 

During her life she was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 20258 Main St., Saltillo, PA with Pastor Dan Long officiating. Interment will be made at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton, PA. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
