Evelyn K. (Smith) Bucher

Evelyn K. Bucher, 74, of Orbisonia, PA died Sunday, May 24, 2020 at her home.

Born December 12, 1945 in Mount Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oran and Margaret (McMullen) Smith.

She was married to Kirby Bucher on March 6, 1966 in Hill Valley, PA.  Mr. Bucher survives at home.

Mrs. Bucher is survived by two daughters:  Tammy Stains, Fannettsburg, PA; and Salena Kauffman and husband Gary, Chambersburg, PA.

Also surviving are five grandchildren:  Christopher Stains and wife Kassie; Stephen Stains; Justin Stains; Aaron Dennison; and Ashtin Summers and husband Gary.  She is survived by three step-grandchildren, Dylan Reed; Keirston Kauffman; and Noah Kauffman.  Seven great-grandchildren survive:  Braelynn Stains; Braxton Stains; Harper Stains; Kerstin Stains; Liara Dennison; Landon Dennison; and Ethan Summers.  Also surviving is a step-great-granddaughter, Kyera Krocker.

One sister, Edith Hockenberry, and two brothers Wilbur Smith and wife Holly and Earl Smith, and a sister-in-law, Carol Smith survive.  She was preceded in death by two brothers:  Donald Smith and William Smith; and five sisters:  Cula Myers; Blanche Shaw; Edna Souders; Mary Singer; and Viola Snyder.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Bucher was a homemaker.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be having private services.  Interment will be made at Salem Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills, PA.
