Erma L. Ulsh

Erma L. Ulsh, 81, of Rockhill Furnace, PA, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born May 22, 1939 in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Leslie W. and Lucinda F. (Runk) Covert. She was married to Howard I. Ulsh, Sr. on February 21, 1961. Mr. Ulsh preceded in death on April 6, 1991. She is survived by her companion, Donald Anderson, at their home.

She is also survived by three children, Michele Woodward and husband David of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Fern Ulsh and wife Theresa of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA and Howard Ulsh, Jr. and wife Stacie of Shade Gap, PA, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and three siblings, Mildred Booher of Orbisonia, PA, Esther Covert of Huntingdon, PA and John B. Covert of Venice, FL. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Amanda Plank, Myrtle Knepper and Dorothy Fields and four brothers, Clifford Covert, E. Leroy Covert, Wilbert Covert and Richard Covert.

Ms. Ulsh was of the Protestant faith. She graduated from Orbisonia High School in the Class of 1958. 

She was employed at Dallco Industries, Inc., Rockhill Furnace, for many years and by The Daily News as a delivery person for 29 years.

She enjoyed doing word searches.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, 594 Meadow St., Rockhill Furnace, PA with Rev. Darrell Nicklow officiating. Interment will be made at the I. O. O. F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA. Friends may call at the church 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
