Erma L. (Long) Brown

Erma L. (Long)  Brown, 93, of Orbisonia, PA, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Fulton County Medical Center - Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born on March 29, 1932 in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Furman O. and Mary A. (Park) Long. She was united in marriage to Ralph C. Brown on November 8, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Brown preceded in death on March 21, 2019.

She is survived by children Leon R. Brown and Jana F. Keebaugh and husband, Donnie, all of Orbisonia, PA. 

Siblings Jane Ramsey of Harrisonville, PA, Vera Brown and husband Larry of Harrisonville, PA and Linda McLucas and husband Russell of McConnellsburg, PA also survive.

She was preceded in death by brothers Reed, Virl, Robert, Carl and Dale Long and sisters Freda Fultz, Marion Snook and Loretta Strait.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, Three Springs, PA. She was also a past president of the Old Methodist Cemetery Association.

During her lifetime, she was employed as a cook at the Southern Huntingdon County High School for 21 years. She loved spending time with her family, tending to her flowers and making crochet pieces to pass out to her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Chris Elliott officiating. Interment will be at Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
