Emory Snyder Obituary

Emory M. Snyder, 83, formerly of Three Springs, PA, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born September 21, 1936 in Springfield Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Elmer and Mabel (Romig) Snyder. He was married to the former Miriam (Seaholtz) Shields. Mrs. Snyder survives of Strodes Mills, PA.

He is also survived by five children, Rose Stallman and husband Wilbur of Friendsville, MD, Betty Oakman and husband Danny of Harrisonville, PA, Terry Snyder of Hustontown, PA, Tracey Snyder of Coalport, PA and Michael Snyder and wife Kelsey of Owatonna, MN, six grandchildren, Chad Stallman, Brandon Fraker, Denver Oakman, Avri Benolken, Braelyn Snyder and Zayden Snyder, two great grandchildren, Brian Fraker and Morgan Fraker and one brother, George Snyder of RD, Shirleysburg, PA. Two grandchildren, Shawna Stallman and Nicholas Fraker and a number of brothers and sisters, preceded in death.

Mr. Snyder was a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church, RD, Hustontown, PA.

He retired from JLG Industries, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA and prior to that was employed by Harbison-Walker Refractories, Inc., Mt. Union, PA.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
