Elizabeth A. McMath, 92, of Germany Valley Road, Mt. Union, PA, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at her home.

Born November 18, 1931 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Alma (Peterson) McKeehan. She was united in marriage to Samuel J. McMath, Jr. on April 18, 1953. Mr. McMath preceded in death on March 21, 2019.

She is survived by three children, Andrew McMath and wife Betsy of Orbisonia, PA, David McMath and wife Ruth of Shirleysburg, PA and Beth Kline and husband Russ of McVeytown, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Erin Cohenour, Branden McMath, Rebecca Snyder, Levi McMath, Cory James, Matt Kline and Mike Kline and fourteen great grandchildren. 

Mrs. McMath had attended the Singer’s Gap Independent Church, Mt. Union.

She served as the matriarch of her family, providing much love and support for many years and assisted as an intricate part of their family business, McMath Lumber Company. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Germany Valley Cemetery followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at the Aughwick-Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, adjacent to the cemetery, officiated by her great nephew Trooper Zachary McKeehan.
